CM Beyer Limited completes VAT registration

CM Beyer Limited has completed registration for Value Added Tax with HM Revenue and Customs, with effect from 3 February 2026. The Company’s VAT registration number is 515 2896 78.

Registration details

HMRC has confirmed the registration following the Company’s application earlier this year. The effective date of registration is 3 February 2026. From this date, the Company will charge and account for VAT on all taxable supplies of goods and services in accordance with the Value Added Tax Act 1994.

What this means for clients

All invoices issued by CM Beyer Limited from the effective date of registration will display the Company’s VAT registration number and apply the standard rate of VAT of 20% to taxable supplies, unless a different rate applies. Existing client agreements have been reviewed to ensure VAT treatment is correctly applied, and updated invoices will be issued where necessary.

Clients who are themselves VAT-registered will be able to recover VAT charged by the Company through their normal input tax recovery process, subject to the usual rules.

Compliance and reporting

The Company will submit quarterly VAT Returns through HMRC’s Making Tax Digital service, with payments made electronically by Direct Debit or bank transfer. The first VAT Return period and submission deadline have been confirmed through the Company’s Business Tax Account.

VAT records will be maintained in accordance with HMRC’s record-keeping requirements, including the digital record-keeping rules under Making Tax Digital. All VAT invoices, credit notes, and supporting documentation will be retained for the statutory minimum period of six years.

It reflects the scale of trading activity now being undertaken and provides clients — particularly other VAT-registered businesses — with a more straightforward commercial relationship. It also formalises the Company’s tax compliance framework and ensures full alignment with HMRC requirements as the business grows.
